Indonesia – Valentine Dinner with Ben and Chris

Valentine 2008, was definitely special for Les Ceramiens Indonesia, not only because of the atmosphere love that was in the air, but also because the ‘incognito’ visit from Ceram Alumni President of South East Asia / Thailand Representative, Benjamin Beroud, and Singapore Representative, Christophe Altaie. So Les Ceramiens Indonesia arranged a get-together at Dapur Babah, which offers Indonesian traditional and colonial foods. It was a great occasion and as there was lots of love in the air, a chocolate love truffle was also involved that evening. Les Ceramiens Indonesia here will continue this spirit of love and cooperation, stay tuned with further activities from Indonesia.

Singapore - End year Dinner - December 13th 2007

We enjoyed a tasty (although a bit expensive ;)) Japanese dinner to celebrate the festive season 2007: see how Adeline is enjoying the seafood! The gathering was the occasion to welcome Jean-Christophe, recently arrived in Singapore in VIE at the Societe Generale, and say farewell to Pauline, who will continue the post-Ceram adventure back in France for this New Year 2008. The rest of us will continue to grow the Ceram spirit community in Singapore, and hope to welcome more friends this coming year!

Benjamin's visit to Singapore - 28oct07

For this 3rd Ceram Alumni meeting in Singapore, I was happy to welcome Ben for his first visit in the island city-state!

We had a nice “catch-up dinner” on Saturday evening before cruising within the Clark Quay nightspots for a good part of the night. Our Alumni meeting per se took place on Sunday afternoon for a deserved chill out drink in one of the nice beach bars of Sentosa, KM8. We were joined by Jean-Marie, our Senior (promo 1994) who has lived and worked in Singapore for over 5 years and shared some of his experiences here. It was overall a peaceful break shared together, before Ben flew back to Bangkok and we all get prepared to the new week ahead.

Hope to see more of you joining next time!

CERAM SEA Meeting in Hanoi - Sept07

This was the second meeting with our Ceram alumni in Hanoi, and the first one for me. We were expected to be half a dozen but due to heavy rain a lot of people cancelled at the last minute. Anyway Huy, the Ceram SEA Vietnam Hanoi country representative, and Cuong were there with me. we had delicious seafood and it was great to be together.

They will do another meeting before the end of the year and we are sure that more alumni will be there.

Gathering in Singapore sept07 - News & Photos

The Ceramien Community of Singapore has been a bit shy for this second gathering, but our guest of honor Pauline was able to count on Tricia, Jacinta, Kenneth and my humble self to feel that we will be part of the growth of the CERAM SEA Club development in the months and years to come!

We were all glad to welcome her and meet again to share a nice meal at Vil’age (no we are not paid to advertise them here ;p), before heading to a lively bar which name I will not mention, few meters down the restaurant on Orchard Road. We enjoyed updating each other on our respective progress toward a more hectic (but happy) professional life we are all being promised, and were joined at the bar by other non-Ceramiens friends, some from other French Business Schools which names I will also not mention and who were impressed by our Ceram SEA Club’s growing spirit.

Cheers to everyone!

Welcome to Ceram Alumni in our South Est Asia community!

I. CERAMSEA Project - December 2006
The Ceram alumni association has been growing and growing since the past few years. Inside this association different clubs has been created like Ceram UK, Ceram Liban, Club Paris...

I think it is time to create and launch the Ceram South East Asia (SEA) Club.

This club has for function to regroup all the Ceram alumni, working, and living, in the South East Asian countries. We would like to maintain an update database and online blog in order to communicate between each other and share ideas/ events/ advices/ job offers?. We will have three main objectives:

1. Help each other:

  • Link people already working in SEA
  • Professional help and support
  • Share experiences
    2. Help others:
  • Support Ceramiens before they arrive and when they arrive in Asia
  • Support/coach on CV, job search, job targeting?
  • Offer personal contact in Asia (Skills/Sector)
    3. Networking:
  • Social and cultural event
  • Network with wider Asian communities e.g. other Alumni associations to promote Ceram name

    II. Action Plan for 2007
    • December 2006: Update the Ceram alumni database in SEA;
    • December 2006: pre meeting of Ceram SEA, include Dr Frederic Dimanche from Ceram, French and Thai alumni working in Bangkok;
    • Feb 2007: First Event of the Ceram SEA club in Vietnam with Vietnamese Ceram alumni
    • March 2007: Official launch of the Ceram SEA club with the blog support
    • April 2007: First Event of the Ceram SEA club in Thailand
    III. Organization of Ceram SEA

To be a member of this club you don?t need to pay anything, you just have to be a Ceram Alumni in South East Asia.

This club is part of the CERAM Alumni Association, based in CERAM Sophia Antipolis. It will be managed by a committee of a President, a vice president, one or two secretaries and a treasurer. Moreover it will also include a representative for each SEA country.

Club SEA - First meeting in Singapore - 27 April 2007

Our first gathering took place in the restaurant "Creperie Armen" for a very nice "who's who" dinner!

The nice surprise was that many of us joined despite the short notice. We were almost a dozen of CERAM Alumni mostly from Singapore and even 2 guests from Hanoi.

We got to know each other and just enjoy delicious crepes and oysters from Britanny.
Highlights were the first try of Sharifah for snails, which was a happy one as she finishes all of them quite fast!
It was a pleasure welcoming Huy, our friend from Hanoi, thank to whom we organized this first gathering actually.

We are looking forward our next gathering, and definitely will encourage cross-borders ones with other part of our growing CERAM SEA Club!

Were present: Sharifah, Adip, Nina, Jacinta, Charlene, Ken, Adeline, Andrew, our guest Huy from Hanoi with one of his Singaporean colleague Clement and myself.
